What We Believe

We are a Reformed, Baptist church that subscribes to the 1689 London Baptist Confession

The Bible: We believe that the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Scripture is our final authority for what we believe, how we live, and how we worship.

The Triune God: We believe in one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - eternal, sovereign, all-powerful, all-wise, and worthy of all worship. He works all things according to the counsel of His perfect will.

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper: We believe baptism is for believer’s only, by immersion, as a sign of union with Christ in His death and resurrection. We believe the Lord’s Supper is a continuing ordinance for Christ’s church, a memorial of His sacrifice and a proclamation of His return.

Holy Spirit: We believe the Spirit gives new life, convicts of sin, grants faith, indwells believers, produces holiness, and equips the church with gifts for ministry and mission.

Christ’s Kingdom & Last Things: We believe Jesus Christ reigns now at the right hand of the Father and will return bodily, gloriously, and visibly to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the redeemed, and the everlasting punishment of the unrepentant.

Humanity & Sin: We believe God created humanity in His image, upright and good. Through Adam’s fall, all people became sinners by nature and by choice, spiritually dead and unable to save themselves apart from God’s grace.

Christian Living: We believe God calls His people to live holy lives marked by repentance, obedience, love, justice, humility, and joyful submission to Christ as Lord.

Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son who took on flesh, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended to the Father. He is the only mediator between God and man.

Salvation: We believe salvation is entirely the work of God’s sovereign grace. We are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. We are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We are justified by faith alone in Christ alone. We are sanctified by the Spirit through the Word. We are kept by God’s power and will persevere to the end.

The Church: We believe the universal Church consists of all redeemed believers united to Christ. We believe in local, visible churches composed of baptized believers who covenant together for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.
