“The church is not an institution for perfect people. It is a sanctuary for sinners saved by grace, a nursery for God’s sweet children to be nurtured and grow strong.”
Situated behind Middlebury Middle School, we are located at 74 Kelly Road Extension in Middlebury, CT
Who We Are
The church was organized on April 8, 1892, as Swedish Tabernacle Baptist Church. The name was changed to Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1956, then to Middlebury Baptist Church on January 28, 1962, then to The Church of New Life on August 15, 2010, and finally to Kingdom Bound Church on May 17, 2026.
We consider ourselves a Particular Reformed Baptist Church, which simply means the following:
We are a local congregation that holds to historic Baptist convictions- believer’s baptism, regenerate church membership, and congregational governance- while grounding our doctrine in the Reformation’s emphasis on God’s sovereignty, covenant theology, and the full authority of Scripture, as expressed in our main confessional subscription known as the 1689 London Baptist Confession.
With all of that in mind, we have it as our mission to engage Middlebury with the good news of the Gospel through evangelism, outreach initiatives, and neighborly conversations.
We are an elder-led church with Pastor Bryan Cerrone serving as lead pastor, alongside elders John Stephen and Jon Hare.
